Get Hooked at Currie's operates out of the Amoco station on Maple Street near the Muskegon River, a spot the Currie family has run in some form since founding Currie's Towing in 1948 under the motto "In a hurry? Call a Currie!" The sandwich counter inside presses its sandwiches to order and makes everything from scratch, including The Long Haul, an Italian loaded with cured meats and topped with a tangy Italian aioli on fresh baked bread. Combos add a bag of chips and a fountain drink. The counter also turns out cookies and cinnamon rolls, plus ice cream for anyone who wants dessert with a gas fill up. A couple of booths inside give travelers a place to sit and eat before getting back on the road, though most orders go out the door.
