Learn to play, improve your skills, and make music with others during a four-week ukulele course led by George Arndt, open to beginners, experienced players, and everyone in between. This free workshop series offers a relaxed, supportive environment where participants can grow their confidence and enjoy making music together.

No prior musical experience is required. Participants are asked to bring a ukulele with a case or bag, a ring binder for handouts, and any songs or lead sheets they would like to learn or share. This collaborative format encourages creativity, learning, and connection through music.

Throughout the course, participants will learn essential ukulele skills, including:

  • How to tune the instrument

  • Strumming and picking techniques

  • Playing with a flat pick or fingers

  • Understanding keys and chords

  • Left- and right-hand technique

  • Finding free music, scores, and lead sheets online

  • Transposing keys to better match your voice

Whether you are picking up a ukulele for the first time or looking to refine your technique, this course offers a fun and approachable way to deepen your musical knowledge.

The workshop is free to attend, and pre-registration is encouraged. Ideal for those seeking music classes, beginner-friendly workshops, and creative learning opportunities in Mecosta County, this ukulele course celebrates the joy of music and community.
