This special performance shares the remarkable recovery journey of a local musician who suffered a serious stroke last June, resulting in significant effects on mobility, speech, and musical processing. Thanks to months of dedicated rehabilitation and support from medical teams at Corewell Health, Mary Free Bed, and Trinity Health, along with encouragement from family and friends, the musician has worked tirelessly toward returning to daily life and performance.

Music has played a central role in that healing process. Through hours of practice and determination, the concert highlights how performance and creativity can support both physical improvement and emotional strength during recovery.

With accompaniment from Jamie McLeod (clarinet), Zach Potter (bass), and Noah Mallett (drums), the program offers a moving selection of works by Mozart, Billy Joel, and Bruce Hornsby, reflecting the connections between classical tradition, popular song, and personal renewal.

This event is more than a concert, it is a celebration of perseverance, community support, and the life-changing impact of music. Ideal for those seeking meaningful live music and inspirational arts programming in West Michigan, this performance offers an unforgettable evening of hope and artistry.
