Big Rapids Parks and Recreation opens the Middle School hallways for free indoor walking all winter, Monday through Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., starting October 26. It's a longstanding program for walkers who want a flat, climate-controlled loop once the weather turns, running through the winter months. No registration or fee required, just show up and walk at your own pace.
