Return to culture, connection, and community during Black Eden Weekend 2026: The Return in Idlewild, Michigan. Held June 18–21, this four-day Juneteenth experience invites guests to gather on historic ground for wellness, music, nature, healing, food, and meaningful connection.

This is more than a festival or retreat. Black Eden Weekend is designed as a return to something deeper: heritage, restoration, and the shared history of a place that has held generations of Black joy, creativity, and freedom. For more than a century, Idlewild has been a meaningful gathering place for Black families, artists, and community builders. This weekend honors that legacy while creating space for something new to grow.

Guests can expect a full schedule of restorative and community-centered experiences, including yoga, guided wellness, sound baths, massage, ear acupuncture, reflexology, aromatherapy, hiking, kayaking, bonfire gatherings, live music, cultural expression, and outdoor activities. A 7K run or walk will also offer participants a chance to move with purpose through a landscape rooted in history.

Food will be part of the experience, with flavors inspired by vegan, Caribbean, farm-to-table, and soul food traditions. Guests are invited to come hungry in every way and leave full, connected, and renewed.

If you are looking for Juneteenth events in Michigan, wellness retreats in West Michigan, or cultural experiences near Big Rapids and Idlewild, Black Eden Weekend offers a powerful way to gather, reflect, celebrate, and reconnect.

This weekend is for anyone seeking more than entertainment. It is for those who want to honor the past, be present with community, and carry something meaningful forward.
