Under the direction of Micah Laird, the Ferris State University Jazz Band brings vibrant energy and artistry rooted in the rich tradition of jazz. Comprised of passionate student musicians from diverse backgrounds, the ensemble performs an exciting program that spans the classic big band sounds of Duke Ellington and Count Basie to modern and contemporary jazz styles.

This year, the concert will also feature the outstanding West Shore Community College Jazz Ensemble I, directed by Ted Malt, joining Ferris State for a collaborative evening of dynamic live jazz.
