Born in Russia, Kvitko began studying piano at age six before completing his formal training and later earning a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Michigan State University, where he studied with renowned pianist Ralph Votapek. His career has grown to include international acclaim not only as a performer, but also as a recording producer and engineer.
A voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, Kvitko is a Grammy-nominated producer whose work has been featured worldwide. His recording of Carter Pann’s Mechanics was also a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in music, underscoring his influence in both performance and classical production.
