After dark on Saturday, October 24, Evart's Riverside Park East turns into a haunted forest. The annual Haunted Park runs from 8 to 10 p.m. and sends visitors on a walking tour through a string of spooky scenes, many of them put together by local businesses, so no two stops feel alike.

Admission is $5, and children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

The Haunted Park is held every year on the Saturday before Halloween, which makes it a natural kickoff to a Halloween weekend in Osceola County.

Bring a flashlight for the walk to and from the park, dress for a cool October night, and plan to make an evening of it with dinner in downtown Evart beforehand.
