Join Amy Buse, retired Ferris State University professor, as she shares highlights from her recent RV journey to Alaska and back during this engaging Festival of the Arts travelogue presentation. Amy’s adventure covered more than 4,000 miles, beginning with a memorable crossing of Lake Michigan aboard the Badger Ferry and continuing across the northern United States into Canada.
Her route traveled through Idaho into Alberta and British Columbia, where she began the legendary Alaskan Highway in Dawson Creek, passing through the Yukon before finally arriving in Alaska. Along the way, Amy experienced breathtaking views of mountains, glaciers, salmon runs, and abundant wildlife.
The return trip included the remarkable Top of the World Highway, with stops through places like Chicken, Alaska, before crossing back into the United States through North Dakota and continuing home through Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
