Description

Chase Creek Smokehouse has been smoking Tennessee-style pit BBQ in Chase since 1999, right along the Pere Marquette Rail-Trail. The kitchen slow-smokes ribs and brisket in an apple wood pit out back, using a brown sugar rub, and the menu extends past BBQ staples into quesadillas, walleye, and sandwiches served in a rustic dining room with beer, liquor, and wine.

Regulars come back for the Smokehouse Bomb Burrito and the brisket mac and cheese, both named as guest favorites in reviews of the restaurant, alongside a coat-hook wall built specifically for snowmobilers to hang their gear while they eat. Riders and drivers stop in after a run on the trail system, since Chase Creek sits close to over 300 miles of connected snowmobile and ORV trail, and the coat hooks and easy parking cater directly to that crowd.

The restaurant's outdoor patio and stage host live music through the season, and the dining room seats groups comfortably with tables spaced apart rather than packed tight. Ownership changed hands in 2026 after founder Pat Ringler built the business from the ground up and ran it for 27 years, and the new owner has said the name, menu, and live music program will continue. Chase Creek remains a stop for both locals and trail travelers moving through West Michigan's Pere Marquette corridor.
