Literature in Person

In Iceland on Christmas Eve, the book tradition of Jólabókaflóð, or “Yule Book Flood,” is celebrated by folks gifting books to one another and spending the evening reading. When the days are short and the evenings long and chilly, many of us enjoy curling up with a good book, a cup of something warm to sip, and if we are able, a cozy fire.

On this winter’s night, rather than curling up at home alone with your favorite authors, join other book lovers for a cup of something warm and a potpourri of original poetry, fiction, and nonfiction in the cozy Ferris Fine Art Gallery, where you will be surrounded by visual art and stunning language. Ferris faculty members will be sharing their original work, followed by what is certain to be a stimulating question and answer period. This event is co-sponsored by the Literature in Person series, which is supported by the Department of English, Literature, and World Languages at Ferris State University.
