This is a recorded lecture. Ferris State art history faculty member Rachel Foulk will discuss women's empowerment in art via a recorded lecture posted on Facebook.
This illustrated lecture will explore how two women artists used the sunflower to advocate for women's empowerment. The discussion will focus on how Mary Cassatt and Faith Ringgold have both employed this colorful flower to promote women's rights and women's communities.
