    The Big Rapids D.B.A will be hosting its annual Fall Fest on Michigan Avenue October 25 & 26. On Friday evening, from 5:30pm-7:00pm, enjoy the annual Chili Cook-Off Contest featuring your favorite local restaurants. On Saturday bring the kids downtown Big Rapids for the Children’s and Pet Costume Parade at 10:30am with Trunk-or-Treat and games to follow. The Celebrity Pumpkin Roll will kick off at 11:30am and the children’s bike raffle will be at 1:00pm.
    Tuba Bach is back and Playing with Music Outside of the Bachs. Enjoy Lunch Bachs at Three Girls Bakery on Saturdays, October 5, 12 & 19 from Noon – 2:00pm and then Saturday evenings at 7:00pm – 9:00pm in the Big Rapids High School Auditorium. Sunday events will also be held in the Big Rapids High School Auditorium with performances at 4:00pm – 6:00pm. All events are free.
    Four Green Fields Farm in Rodney is ready to aMAZE you, your family and your friends. Explore the corn maze, pumpkin patch, and horse drawn wagon rides all waiting for you! Don’t forget that on Friday and Saturday nights in October they haunt the maze for those brave souls not afraid of what lurks in a dark corn field.The regular Corn Maze is open September 28 to October 27: Saturday Noon – 5:30pm and Sundays 2:00pm-5:00pm. Cost is just $3 per person, kids under 5 free and horse drawn wagon rides only $2 per person. The Haunted Maze is open October 4 to October 26: Friday 8:00pm-10:30pm and Saturdays 8:00pm-10:30pm.     The Mecosta County CVB is proud to announce that we will be hosting singer and songwriter, John Berry at Williams Auditorium on Monday, December 9. Personal VIP Experience tickets will be available at just $25.00 each, allowing ticket holders early access to the concert (1 hour prior to doors opening) a Meet and Greet with John in the theatre, question and answer session along with an acoustical performance of 2-3 songs plus a photo and autograph session. The VIP Experience with John Berry is a 45 minute event and limited to 100 people. Concert tickets are just $35.00 per person and can be purchased online at BigRapids.org or on John Berry’s website at JohnBerry.com/tour.

    Every Friday morning from 9:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. the Band of Locals has a radio segment with Steve from Sunny 97.3 hosted by Band of Locals President, Carlleen Rose. Each week different Band of Locals members are featured on air as they tell us what they're business is about and what you can expect from them! You can tune in on air at 97.3 or via Facebook Live on the Band of Locals page.
