The Salvation Army After-School Community Center is a safe and fun place for students ages 6 to 17 to spend their time between leaving school and going home. The Center is run by trained Salvation Army Staff and Volunteers. Students are required to work on homework or to read before playing games or doing other activities. The leaders are present to help students with their homework as well. Activities for students to enjoy include table top games, books, board games, card games, video games, crafts, and more! Students are also provided a small snack to bridge the gap between school lunch and dinner.
The Center is open Monday through Friday from 3:15p - 6:00p. If school is canceled, the center will close also. On days when local schools have early releases, the center will open early also. At this time, there is no transportation provided for students and all students must be picked up by 6:00p. For more information, please contact Rebecca Hixenbaugh at 231-796-5597.
