NOLS started The Exploration Film Tour as a way to tell the stories of ordinary individuals pursuing their dreams in extraordinary wilderness environments. Through these films, we hope to highlight the amazing places we can find in this world and inspire others to pursue their own dreams, whether they're exploring their own backyard, seeking remote summits, or paddling the great blue sea.

Here's what's happening in December...
Holiday Fun Has Just Begun!It’s hard to believe that December is already here and the New Year is just around the corner. As 2018 has been a busy and amazing year here at the Mecosta County Convention & Visitors Bureau we are anxiously awaiting for 2019 as we have many upcoming, great events and promotions planned for Mecosta County in the coming year.For this last month of the year there are numerous community events and happenings to choose from. Don’t forget to also check out our Things To Do Pages on the Mecosta County CVB website. Get all the details you need before hitting the trails to snowmobile, snowshoe or cross-country ski.For the hunting and fishing enthusiasts out there, we have you covered as well. It's the most wonderful time of the year which means celebrations every day as the National Days of December role on by.Deck the halls with boughs of... poinsettias! December 12th is Poinsettia Day which means you should stop on by to Band of Locals member Patterson's Flowers on Maple Street for some holiday decor. Interested in something besides poinsettias? Enjoy an invigorating snowmobile ride, snowshoeing or even cross country skiing trip on either the White Pine Trail or the Big Rapids Riverwalk.
