Michigan summers have so much to offer and one of the best ways to experience it is by enjoying the bounty of local farm raised fruits, vegetables, greens and herbs. Bring a friend, or two, for what's sure to be an evening of fun as we go beyond the basic iceberg lettuce with dressing go-to and cover different types of salads using unique and sometimes unconventional summer produce. Explore the basics of making your own dressings and vinaigrettes and how to build your own salads based on some simple and easy to remember tips. We'll be hands on for most of the evening; slicing, chopping, whisking and tasting so be ready to hone your skills in many different areas of food prep.
